We bought ‘Faye’, a superb stocky black 13.2hh mare, in October 2003 in foal to Orton Hall Dennis. She produced a nice grey filly foal on 30th April 2004, Globetrotter Quicksilver ‘Sugar’. Faye had had a filly foal the year before "Thornbeck Jade", a full sister to 'Sugar' who is now in America. We weaned “Sugar” from Faye in December 2004 and put Faye with Precious, the wonderful ‘school mistress’ of the herd. We brought Faye back into ridden work, as she had been lightly backed when in the UK, but she was still not settled in enough with us and the other ponies, so we did a bit more ground work training with her, and then in the spring of 2005 we decided it best to put her back with our stallion Dene Teviot. Very sadly 'Faye' aported her 2006 foal due to a tick infection in March. She ran out with our grey stallion Murthwaite Tikka and will be the first broodmare to produce a foal by him. Faye had a filly foal on the 30th May 2007 "Globetrotter Taifun". Taifun has now been sold to nice family in Denmark.
Faye is in foal to our grey stallion Murthwaite Tikka for 2009.
‘Faye’ is now a lot more trusting with us and the other ponies, and has found her place in the herd which she is happy about. Faye is proving to be a very good broodmare.
